Collection IV

In January 2006 I undertook the project of creating a Java program to aid me in composition. The program, Maatraameru 2, was based on a JavaScript program I had written a few months earlier. This program allowed greater accuracy in the setting of dynamic levels and panning; it also wrote Csound files and scores for the works. All of the Csound works of this collection were written using this program except S(n) Rep Sequence no. 14, which is the first work in which I used sampling. In this composition a beer bottle was sampled, tuned to different pitches using water. All the works of Collection IV were written from April 9, 2006 to March 19, 2007 in Hamburg, Germany.
